The short version

We collect as little as possible. Subscribing to alerts doesn’t give us your name or email. The only personal information we hold is what you choose to send through the contact form, and we use it only to reply to you. We never sell or share it.

Who we are

Middlesex Fire Paging (middlesexfirepaging.com) is a community-run project operated by volunteers in Ontario, Canada. We handle personal information in line with Canadian privacy law.

Alert subscriptions

Alerts are delivered by Pushover. When you subscribe to a feed, you do so through your own Pushover account, and Pushover gives us only an anonymous subscription key so it can deliver notifications. We do not receive your name, email address or phone number. Pushover’s own handling of your account is covered by Pushover’s privacy policy.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address and message. We use them only to read and respond to your message. Messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with them and are deleted within 12 months.

Website logs and cookies

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics that identify individual visitors.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We only share it if required by law.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from any feed at any time in the Pushover app. You can also ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, through the contact page.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top of the page.
